Tunnel books are sculptural artist’s books that create a miniature world or abstract composition in multiple layers; reminiscent of a stage, a series of separate pages are bound in layers to create a distinct foreground, midground and background. After looking at examples of other artist’s books, students will work along with book artist Yuka Petz to combine cut paper, drawing, collage, and book arts to create their own multi-dimensional worlds at home. This class welcomes all levels of students, no book making or paper cutting experience necessary!
